First of all, i've been looking through the Forums and couldn't find an answer to this. If it's out there somewhere, I apologize for double posting.

I have made some posts in the leaked section and earned some reputation in my profile. Does that affect my contribution points in any way?
The FAQ says that making posts increase my contribution, but it's just at the same number as it was from the start.

Making "Posts" or replies in the Leaks Sections of the site will reduce your contributor rating.

Making "Threads" or new Topics, will increase it
