So basically lets call them "BigCompany" I mean Crytek, decided to remaster old goodie Crysis and sell it for 20-30$
Below there is technological comparison of version created Crytek and version created by fans, which as you can see is much better.

So is there any point in buying remastered games like this?

This remastered freaking sucks, but some games have had good remasters like Shadow of the Colossus and Yakuza

You just have to be careful to avoid the really bad ones like Windwaker and the Mario remakes that just came out on Switch
