Do you prefer games that actually use a board rather than only cards for your actions?

Having a board is nice because if all the extra info and graphics that can be placed on it

Either works, depends on the mechanics of the game overall, but a board is offen nice.

Think of it this way: What kind of experience do you want players to be able to have?

Complex, indepth, an afternoon of fun? Try a board for keeping things front and center where all can see and keep track.
Simply, quick fun, many rounds/hands per play, mobility so you can play it in a public place (like a coffe shop)? No board!
