I think about this all the time. Do I really enjoy what I do for work or am I going through the motions? My answer changes all the time.

My work is work and not a hobby. As an engineer in a small company it is demanding and I always think I suck at what I do... But at least my position seems to be fairly stable and I haven't been overloaded with work constantly, so I can't complain too much.

I am currently looking for a job, but I'm freelancing a bit, so money still coming in, one whole dollar at a time (Brazil's money is not really worth much...)

Been in the same job for 9 years and enjoyed it until 2 years ago a new manager started and he's the worst manager I've ever see. Bad at his job, unwilling to change and slowly driving the workforce mad

Hang in there. Keep looking for the thing you want, and at the same time - as hard as it may seem - enjoy some of that freedom. Don't go crazy, but enjoy some of the flexibility you have. There's always some of a silver lining somewhere.

Those are the worst. Stick it out and figure that in time that person moves on or is asked to move on. Stay on course and control what you can control.

I don't know how far into your job you are. If you've been there for years, thought it was going to be a stepping stone but now you're being promoted to manager, or you work at a minimum wage type job. But what I think is important is if it gives you a sense of pride. It may be tough work, but at the end of the day, you are happy with what you have done. Then it may feel a little less like a job, and a little more like an accomplishment. Don't settle for the rest of your life. Get out there and be proud of what you do!

Some days are good and some days are bad but thats how most if the Jobs are even if It is your dream job. I think the worst part is that you lose a lote of the day doing It
