I remember I started out playing Starcraft 1, Diablo 2: LoD, and WC3 TFT. Nowadays the games I play don't really hook me in like they use to. Or I might just be getting older  Big Grin. What about you guys, do you think gaming these days isn't the same as they use to be when you first started?

Definitely more bland. It's more difficult these days to find a game I can genuinely enjoy. Most games I own just sit untouched for so long, because they got boring within a week or two..

I think about this often. I'm sure part of it is that I'm getting older, but games have definitely gotten more bland. I remember watching a video created by one of the original WoW developers talking about this. He said they really cared about making a great game back in 2004/2005, but developers like Blizzard are just trying to maximize profits nowadays.
