It's long, like a lot of anime from mangas are. Take One Piece, the story in the anime is moving so slowly, it's paintful to watch

Seen it all and enjoyed most of it. They do transition from ninja fights where you have to predict moves and techniques to dball z fights with giant power attacks thrown around. The show has been going on 20 years so its supposed to be long.
