Does anyone find Josh Gad annoying for seeming to be trying too hard to be relevant?
#1
I feel like everywhere I look Josh Gad is being promoted for some lackluster thing like an overblown praise for subverting Disney stereotypes or his annoying film reunion videos. Why is this guy hosting reunions for films that he was never in and was barely even alive for? It feels like he is very desperate to be relevant and putting himself into everything. Just knowing Josh Gad likes movies I like makes me not want to like those movies any more.

Does anyone else notice this?

I hate to break it to you, but that's how it is with the current crop of entertainment. They keep forcing certain "stars" down our throats, no matter how much we don't like them. The majority of people are NPCs, so they just accept it as whatever. I mean, hell, you could replace his name with Chris Pratt, and you'd come to the same conclusion. There's no creativity anymore, only formulas they shove down our throats.

All top tier ones are garbo nowadays.

I may be out of the loop, but I'm pretty tuned into pop culture stuff and I haven't seen much of Josh Gad at all recently, aside from the reunion things you mentioned.

That being said, there are certainly "it" stars who are the flavor of the month and seem to be everywhere, then they fade from the spotlight. Remember Jennifer Lawrence 5 or so years ago? She was in all the hit movies, talk shows, red carpets, etc., but now you barely hear of her.

It's possible that I just noticed well after his wave of attention in the news cycle.

I do remember Jennifer Lawrence and she was also quite annoying. There was that whole thing with Ellen taking a selfie and ordering a pizza during the academy awards and that whole thing was very cringeworthy like celebrities trying to be normal. You can be famous and normal but "acting" normal is not being normal. That's just performing.

To be fair, once we all saw her naked, and realized that she fucked Harvey Weinstein and his gangrene-filled mini-dick, most guys moved on, thus deep-sixing her popularity.

I don't remember this and I'm glad I don't. And the Academy Awards are nothing but ego-filled buffoonery that are just all of those celebs scratching each other's back in front of the cameras, followed by a lot of them going and doing coke at parties, and then gangbanging each other. Ratings would go up if they broadcast the parties and the gangbangs.
