Like old 90s anime that's not Yu yu Hakusho DBZ or the typical ones you see. I really enjoy the art style of old animes but I don't know enough titles. I want to start exploring it.

Ooo some uncommon shit I know off the top of my head....Legend of Basura is pretty cool. Manga is better than the anime though (and finished). Don't want to give away too much, so I'm just gonna in one aspect it's kinda like Mulan but more grim. Great 90's style and although the MC does break down and have weak moments sometimes she also has some badass moments.

I'd also recommend Casshan/Casshern. Definitely more popular and technically it's a 70's anime but there was a much less colorful and far more dark OVA remake in the 90's with absolutely wonderful visuals and incredible fight scenes.

Sailor Moon & Cardcaptor Sakura are anime titles that I watched when I was a kid. though its popularity is well known among girls.

Blu submarine no.6 , neon genesis evangelion and slam dunk is great , I recommend them.

Both series are by the same mangaka and the anime is very well portrayed
