I used to code using atom as I followed the instructions of a book (learning to code the hard way) but got stuck and put it aside for a while. Later I shifted to vscode. But these days I just hop on google colab. It’s super convenient since I can have my data files as google sheets and can analyze them from anywhere.

But ya, what are the downsides of just coding in colab? Keep in mind I’m not some dev developer or software engineer. Just a noob grad student doing science.
