Hey I am a big DBZ and DBZ Kai fan and I fell off of the dragon ball thing for the past 7-8 years. Now i am totally out if the loop when it comes to DBS but i watched The broly movie and it was amazing. Ive heared some not too great thing about Super, so should I give it a chance?

DBS was fine. I'd suggest watching a few episodes at least

I don't know man. I really hate the new style they've adopted. All the characters look very plastique-ish and badly animated. As for the plot, Battle of universes? Not really my thing.

If you are willing to explore DBZ again, I suggest you give "DBZ Abridged" a go. You'll not regret it!

Dragonball super rubs people the wrong way because they want audiences to swallow a few big pills. Dragon ball z uses the old style power/fight system where whoever is stronger wins. If you want to win then train and become stronger.
Dragonball super tries to implement the smart fighter system that we see in shows like hero academia. Now it doesnt matter if you are power level 100 and I am only 60. I use some clever technique and beat you with it.
I get that they made the change to try to make the show more interesting than someone just screaming, powering up and then beating the villain but it is definitely a change of pace and as a long fan I found myself asking myself why didnt vegeta or goku blast those fools instead of trying to understand their weird technique and doing something fancy.
