Been thinking of getting an Ipad instead of a new stand alone drawing tablet. Anyone here have an opinion on this?

Definitely Wacom. Well, that's my opinion. I draw on my tablet for a decade or so now. And I won't change it for anything else I've tried.

ipad is a big investment and is more used for other things as well as drawing. if its solely drawing, i advise a wacom

Wacom if you're a pro/ planning to make money off your art, IPAD for general use and as a hobby.
