With the Dune movie coming out next year I’ve been thinking about reading the books but I’ve heard they can be a bit of a slog. Anyone read them? Are they worth it?

It's my fav series pretty much, Can feel like a lot of pages when you start. but if you get sucked into the universe, they go by quick.

I played a flash game based on the books and it looks pretty cool I'll probably just watch the movie and then read the books
