I think for something like contribution, posts should be valid, otherwise it will just be thread spam with no replies to any of them.

Maybe you can have contribution be awarded for post replies if they meet some level of quality.

You can filter the ones that are gibberish or crappy, and then maybe 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 of these can make their way to the mod or smth and they can give contribution for the user depending on their contributions in general for some time period.

The system has been battle tested since 2019 and we wont be making sweeping changes like this unless its for very good reasons

I could not imagine a single person managing a site like this.

It sucks that since this is the internet it's impossible to build trust
