I just finished watching Evangelion on Netflix, and it was cool and all but I didn't get it. Not like it was confusing, but I didn't get all the hype that was backing it up. I always felt it was kinda off.
Well, the day after I finished it, I was hanging with friends and I wanted to look up why the anime was so controversial even though it felt pretty straightforward to me. As it turns out, Netflix completely changed everything about the series and I had no idea.
They changed the subtitles, the dub actors were not the original ones, they took away the Fly Me to the Moon outro that everyone loved, and the translation was different too. I feel kinda cheated low-key so I'm gonna have to hunt for the dvd and watch it again. Won't even bother watching the movies till I do
