Oryx & Crake is a sci-fi book written by Margaret Atwood and was published on 2002. A lot of the technology and concepts it predicted almost two decades ago ring true today, which took me by surprise. For example, it predicted splicing animal genes to create new animals with characteristics of other animals. I found the book extremely interesting, so if you are interested in science fiction at all be sure to check it out!
