Just tried Borderlands 3 last night, only played single player but it seemed like it would be fun for couch coop, especially because they let you do the loot as a "coopetition"

A Way Out is really fun, a prison escape co op game, in which you both have your own character and have to make choices to change how the story goes.

BroForce is equal parts ridiculous and frustrating, good to play as a group

I second the mention of overcooked, and overcooked 2. the gameplay really encourages communication.

Overcooked 2 is chill af and fun! But if you're more into shooting then go for helldivers, very intense alien killing, for democracy ofcourse
