Feelings on HIMYM ending *Spoilers*
#1
How do you feel about the ending of how I met your mother? Personally I didn’t like it, I didn’t really mind the fact that the mother ended up dying at the end because it was foreshadowed a couple of times but then Barney and Robin getting divorced in a sort of montage of what happened and then Robin and Ted getting together isn’t really my cup of tea. It seems like they were just trying to find a way to get them together by the end of the story even if it didn’t make sense for their characters at that point in the story. How about you?

That's basically it. The showrunners decided waaaaaaay early on that Ted and Robin were going to get together cause its "what the fans wanted."

Fans were starting to get bored by the last season only to have the rug pulled from under them when they see actual chemistry between the Mother and Ted and the entire season of sitting through wedding crazyness.

Watch the alternate ending. Worth it.

The ending was dissapointing. The show's premise was a father telling his kids how he met their mother. Right when you get to the end of the story, and the kids have finally learned the *whole* story, that moment should have been the kids asking questions, commenting on things they learned about their mom or dad etc. Instead that wholesome moment was up-ended by a forced love interest that doesn't really get fleshed out. The rest of the show is fine for the most part, but they really lost sight of the plot.
