Over the last 7-14 days, our site has been subjected to contact HTTP request attacks, basically a distributed network of bots, pretending to be legitimate users, hogging resources and making the site slow. While this poses no danger to us, it does slow the site down to a crawl at times.

To fix this, we are going to implement some changes. 

While there is no downtime planned, we will close the forum while carrying this maintenance. 

Elite and Onyx members should notice no difference , however, any posts threads made during the maintenance period may be lost.

I will add in a reply when the maintenance starts and ends. We will also send out a tweet on our twitter so follow along if you haven't already

This fix has been deferred for now due to dev unavailability.

I will update this thread with more information when more information is available.

Stage 1 of the maintenance has been completed.

However stage 2 is planned to be implemented in the next 12 -18 hours.

Till then we unfortunately have to put up with this DDOS attacks causing slowdowns
