Though I recommend a paid vpn for better performance and protection, ProtonVPN or TunnelBear may be alternatives to Windscribe.

I have had pretty good success with ProtonVPN, but yeah VPN's are one of those things that for peace of mind, I prefer to pay for. Unfortunately, this also creates a privacy issue where the provider can log the payment information. There are several providers that accept various crypto payment methods however.

Free VPNs have to make money somehow and that somehow is YOU, windscribe is my favourite due to its decent speeds but the 10GB cap can get a little annoying but I guess I feel less like a product with that in place. I have also used proton which is decent but speeds can be slow.

I would look into investing into a paid one
