What is the deal with all of the free games on the Epic Games store? They usually have a free one every week. Around the holidays, they had a new one daily. Are they just trying to attract people to their platform?

i got so many free games on epic, uplay, ea origin
that i will never be able to play them all

They try to attract people and it's worth it, big hit was when they made GTA V for free for one week, but it had a downside, a lot of people started playing GTA Online so rockstar servers couldn't handle it xdd

I guess it’s to attract people to use their service and talk about them in public how great they are with free games etc thats brain ducking

the free games are great, not the biggest fan of the launcher though - the platform less mature than steam
