In the market for a new car and can’t decide on ev or gas. Any pointers?

Gas keeps generally good resale value, electric is cheap to use but expensive to source parts cause they often can't be duplicated like for older cars.

I like to be able to pickup whatever I need off marketplace or ebay and not have to follow the manufacturers monopoly on parts lol if you go to the mechanic it's the same story.
