Hey all just as the title says I'm getting back into gaming as I've gotten older well 30s lol and any recommendations would be appreciated. It's been a long time since I've wanted to sit down and play and I'd like an good advice in where to start

I like sports games but madden all that is so overplayed now

I do enjoy strategic games on a grand scale as well as shooting games and any games with a great story

If you like Grand Strategy games, then definetly check out Hearts of Iron IV. Easy to get into (by Paradox Interactive standards lol) and you'll definetly eat up a bunch of hours in there, especially with all the mods in the Steam workshop. Personally, I'd wait for a sale and snag the game and DLCs for cheap.
