Do you prefer a headset with a built-in microphone or a quality pair of headphones with a separate mic? For gaming, chatting, etc.

I've always used headsets with a fold-up microphone, as it just easier for me. But the sound quality is definitely nowhere near that of a decent pair of headphones.

My headset is on its last legs, and I was thinking of making the switch. Thoughts?

Unless you're a content creator, any decent pair of headphones is plenty. Having an external mic has plenty of downsides that don't outweigh the better quality.

I personally never really liked the headset's sound quality of those with built in mics. I guess the closest experience you can get is a decent set of cans with a mod mic attached to it.

Wireless headsets are great. I have a G933 and the audio is so crisp
