Am I the only who hopes big studios do movies of certain franchises not because of the movie itself but because of the merchandise around it that will be released. The biggest example of this for me is the new Dune movie. I am a huge Dune by Frank Herbert fan. I have read all the books, seen all the movies and miniseries and I really dont care to watch another movie and hope they get it right but I do want my sand worm cup and cup holder and as much merch as they can make so that I can pick the best.
I am not sure if this makes me a smaller or bigger consumer. Are there people out there who share this point of view? What are your thoughts on it?
