Hulu announced the spinoff of how i met your mother. The himym's cast is not expected to return or have any connection to the new characters. 10 episodes and the biggest name in the cast is Hillary Duff... There were a lot of rumors about a spinoff, to fix the series finale (probably), but it looks like it won't be linked to the original story. What's your opinion?

I remember when news broke about the original spin-off slated to star Greta Gerwig... Can't believe they're deciding to move forward with this

Spin offs rarely ever get it right unfortuantely....speaking of which does anyone remember the joey spin off from friends.

Atleast for me spinoffs don't seem to usually get it right, honestly it just seems a bit forced, kinda like trying to piggyback on HIMYMs success (which is a show i enjoyed watching, apart from the series finale).

It seems like they're just grasping at straws. Don't really need big names though to have it be successful. jason segel or nph was probably the most popular of the cast at the beginning but the rest definitely made names for themselves
