Personally I do a bunch of little things - but a random idea I find helps : note down all the tasks (even rough direction) for what you have to do - with actionable words / dot points. Makes it easier if you break that down further into tasks for the coming day (eg; before bed). Then you can wake up with some direction, and milestones/dot points to tick off.
(I like to even put my morning routine/house stuff in, that way as I tick bits off - I feel I've done something & get progressively more motivated)
Also assigning set time that you will work on a project, and before you even start -> framing it in your mind that you will treat it as proper work.
Another person to bounce ideas off of helps too. -shrug-
