How to run old games? And favourite game you cant play anymore?
#1
I have found a few old pc games, for e.g lotr bfme2, i try to run in windows xp mode etc but the game doesnt start, is it a lost cause, or can games like these be patched, and if so where can i find it, search engines are restricted in my area and are coming up blank

Not sure for that specific game, but I know a number of older PC Games can be run through different PC emulators, most notably DosBox, but there are a few you just can't play anymore. For me, the two I miss the most are Freelancer and Pro Skater 4. I still own the CD-Roms for both of those, it just takes a lot more work than I consider worth it to play them anymore.

Many, and I mean, MANY old games are being worked on to run on a Raspberry Pi 4. The board is JUST strong enough to run some old win98/xp stuff and new games that aren't hardware-hungry. You might want to have a look at that!

i like to use wine emulator since I use linux and it can run any old OS

I used to love freelancer, I wish a true sequal was made (unlikely as the guy behind it is the guy behind star citizen>

Checl out old-games dot com. They have many old and REALLY old games to download, most of them are setup to work on modern PCs. But stay away from anything that comes with a crack for steam.
