IT is overrated

Stephen King is so overrated. He is creative, but all the lore he develops look so corny in live action. I don't understand how pennywise is scary. There's no subtlety at all, it feels like they're trying too hard to make him scary.

I'd blame that on the filmmakers, not Stephen King!

I do know what you mean though. he's so prolific he's bound to let a couple turds slip Smile

did you read the books? they are so much more terrifying than the movies. and the ending is COMPLETELY different. (the book's ending is SO WEIRD. and i dont; think there's any possible way to put it on film. won't spoil it if you haven't read it.)

Stephen King struggles with writing endings

The Stand and It are both really long books that spend nearly the entire time building up to a "final battle" so to speak and the final battle itself ends up being a mixture of bizarre and anti climatic.

Actually now that I remember it Doctor Sleep was like that too.
