I am thinking of hetting an ok-ish GPU to pair with my i9 12900K for animation, content creation and stuff along with some light gaming. One of my relatives work at Intel and gets upto 50% discount under the Employee Purchase Program. So, should I get a RTX 3050ti (out of stock right now) or wait for Intel Arc which may be cheaper for me?

Dont get an intel card IMO. They are still "in development" and may encounter strange bugs. Nvidia has been around for quite some time now. Its a safer platform for gaming/content creation. Sit out 2-3 generations of intel cards and see how they do.
