Now that I've gotten used to not spending $20 on a ticket, I feel like I can wait a month until it's released for streaming. Anyone else feel the same way?
Covid killed the theater chain system. Locking us down for a year fucked up that part of the entertainment industry. Unless they come up with some way to make theater experiences amazing, no one is going to want to spend that much on a ticket, when they can spend a few hundred for a home entertainment system that's amazing, for all of their streaming needs.
I mean I have a full projector home theater setup at home but i went and saw harry potter and the chamber of secrets in the theatre last week and it was amazing. It was also in 4dx so it was an experience.
I like having the choice now of watching movies at home on release or going to the theater. Provided I get good seats and am away from noisy people, I actually enjoy the theater experience. I don't think I could justify it if tickets here were $20 though, they are normally around $12 in my city unless it's some specialty thing like 3D or ScreenX.
The ticket price is ludacrous. Theyve upped it for quite some time. Maybe theyll have to cut the prizes since less people will probably visit the theatre. Maybe not now, but later
