Not usually a fan of animated programs but I loved the Mandalorian so im tempted to watch the bad batch

BUT the question is do i need to have watched the other animated star wars shows first, such as the clone wars?

for me, it was just like rebels.... it was made for a younger target so....i dont know, it doesnt rly feel like clone wars to me, im not rly paying attention to it

I would say that if you are gonna watch bad batch, def watch the clone wars. I do understand some people might think bad batch is like rebels and more kiddie(which is true to an extent) but you can ignore that and focus on the great animation and amazing story. The Rebels show gets waaaaay better after S2 as well. I do recommend it. But can also say it is kinda kiddie. Mostly at the beginning but very little towards the end.

It's starting to get really good and I think this week's episode is gonna be intense. I think people were just disappointed at first because the premiere was straight up a masterpiece and the following episodes ouldn't (understandably) compete with it. But imo, even the earlier episodes after the premiere are still good and fun to watch. The new character Omega is a great addition to the team and her growth throughout the series, along with the squads parenting skills, has been cool to see. Plus, the animation quality is SO GOOD!

it kinda feels like it would help if you'd understand beforehand what happened prior the start of the show, like how it got to the point where clones are suddenly killing their jedi comrades. Especially if you want to be emotionally invested. Overall it's worth it even if you haven't watched the previous shows

I agree with what nishiki said. Plus this show has such a good animation. I often forget im not watching live action..
