The Office isn't as popular mainstream wise as it was before, but it still has a cult following. I personally only liked the first season and never got through the second season. How was your experience with the show and do you think that the show is overrated or is rightfully appreciated?

Maybe a -little- overrated, but it's still a very solid show. The first season is basically a different show than the rest IMO, you definitely should watch later seasons to really see what it's like. I won't spoil anything since you haven't seen it, but there is a quality drop after a certain thing happens in a later season (You'll know it when you see it), but it's still perfectly watchable. 

Also, if you do end up liking it, try Parks and Rec as well, it's a similar type of show. Again though, the first seasons is very different from later ones, so give it til S2-3 to really judge it.

Depends upon which "The Office" you're referring to. Personally I think the US office bit overrated than it's deserving underrated British counterpart. The original office has a bit darker comedic tone, has irl office like environment, and is smaller for binge watching, but the US office has ligher tone, and sole opera type many episodes to keep track of.

I have watched it a few times through. The one thing I cannot stand is watching Jim and Pam dance around each other for multiple seasons. Ugh!

It's a specific type of humor, very dry and somewhat intelligent. I feel people who do 'get it' might hype it up more than it needs to be, but I def wouldn't call it overrated.

I am a fan of the show but I would say it's overrated. It's definitely a nice go to show if you want to just relax and watch something casual

It's a decent show that you can just pick up from wherever for the most part. However, it does reward the viewers that follow along with the series.
