Is UI/UX worth it today?
#1
I’ve been hearing talks of programs that basically do the work for you. Of course someone has to write the code for it, but basically making programs that dumb down UI design to a user friendly level. I’m concerned that in 10+ years coding won’t be so essential. Please comment if trying to get credits

There will always be programs that do the work for you, just look at github's copilot. But at the end of the day the code isn't the important part, it's knowing what design principles and what pieces of code to use in each scenario which I don't think AI will ever be able to do

companies will always need bespoke UI that goes deeper than what standardized tools will permit in my opinion. However those will become much more popular with time and will answer a lot of basic needs people have. it might also be the case that development frameworks might change in time so it really depends how you view things i guess
