I've never seen game of thrones before, but the ending of game of thrones is pretty infamous for being bad. Is the show still worth watching though, as I heard it was really good and just ruined by the ending.

It's insanely good. Personally, I had to grind out the first 3 episodes or so. It didn't really grab me. I actually watched the first episode like at the end of the 2nd season, then dropped it until the end of the 7th season. I revisited it just cuz so many of my friends loved it. BUT i remember when i was at the end of episode 3.... i was totally hooked. Binged the crap out of the entire series and waited for the 8th season like waiting for NNN to be over.

But yes. season 8 sucked so much, it was completely laughable.

If you appreciate good writing and consistency I'd say it's not worth it. The quality of the series starts falling apart after season 4.

Season 1- Season 4 are superb and after that it's shit. They literally massacred the whole series with that ending.

Ending felt empty and rushed. It's like they had the key points but never had time to flesh it out. If you don't have time, watch only the important story events and read up on the rest, whether if it is a wiki abstract or skimming the books.

As other people have already stated, the first 4 seasons are the best and the writing going to absolute cliched shit in the last 2 seasons.

Just know that you will become disappointed by the end.

Id have to say no, its not worth watching, largely because of what people have said. Early seasons set things up nicely, but the latter seasons dropping the ball means you wasted all your time at the beginning.

happened to see one episode and i watched the rest of it .
waited eagerly for the last season and it disappointed very much.
the writer had not publised the ending part as a book that might be the reason the ending turned like thhat.
and one need the brightness settings to see some of the last scenes too...

I would certainly recommend it as everything up to season 8 is a very worthy piece of entertainment, and well worth your watch time.
