I would say so, I feel like Max also gets first access to a lot of popular movies that leave theaters. The shows under the HBO umbrella are really good (A few shows to add to the list in the previous reply would be Veep, Silicon Valley, The Last of Us, Barry, Station Eleven, Big Little Lies, and True Detective). The streaming service does have a lot of bloat when it comes to reality TV, but I find that the quality of many titles is on average better than a service like Netflix.
