") and I can see multiple posts of users saying thank you for the content. I however can not see any content at all in that thread, the only link I can see is in the first post, which takes you to the creator's OF. Please can someone explain, am I doing something wrong or? Thank you

Yeah this is because users who are not upgraded see a 'hidden' link in he first post of the request.

Then, they ignore the fact that this is the request forum, despite the obvious warnings, and assume they can get the content by replying to the thread.
