It's true though. The force awakens should not have been a rehash of a new hope. his star trek trilogy is average at best. what saves him is flashy cgi and people not knowing good story telling.

Well cloverfield was alright, it came out at the right time when people missed kaijus much (97' Godzilla...) so everyone was in awe... super 8 wasn't not that great. Star Trek was alright too, force awken was ok like... he's an ok director much like an ok pop singer I guess.
