I honestly had no idea the entire movie was shot in first person.
Let alone, the entire movie is filmed from the perspective of a camcorder! 

This was really interesting to me, though the first bit of the movie is a very slow burner that takes forever to really build up the intensity. But once Cloverfield starts, oh man it doesn't let go at all. The statue of Liberty scene really gave me the chills from the trailer when i was a kid.

They just gave a greenlight to a sequel, after all this time. Not a Cloverfield Universe movie, but a proper sequel. Supposedly won't be a first person film either. (though I did like the original concept.)
