Besides league and DOTA, what MOBAs stand out? I have heard of Smite and am wondering if it is worth trying out or if every MOBA is more or less the same with each other?

I played SMITE when it first came out. It seems to be well made, but it's developed by Hi-Rez. They have a bad reputation for a number of reasons, so I've steered clear.
