I have seen files that were reported saying Mega has closed the account and have reported the owner to the authorized providing information including their IP addresses. I saw that message on one of my mirror accounts but it hasn't been followed up so I think it may just be scare tactics.

I think if you are distributing stuff like child porn / beastiality etc then they will probably follow up but I think for people sharing normal nudes they just want to scare a little bit
