Just bought a second dell 4k monitor but it appears to have some noticeable input lag. Does anyone know if different HDMI cables work differently with monitors? 

Strangely, the HDMI cable has no issue with my old 4k monitor, but the new one is a big difference.

Could be an issue with the cable itself, maybe the new port. Could also be an issue with the connection source, CPU/GPU not being to able a strong enough signal for consistent use.

discovered it was due to the source hdmi port not supporting hdmi2
