I third wheeled a dinner with a mate and his girlfriend recently, we were meeting some friends she'd made through school. First time everyone had met each other, and it turned out 3 of the 7 people had all dated one an other at some point in time, my mate included. It was the biggest coincidence that turned into the most awkward dinner of my life. None of the relationships ended well, and i still dont know why everyone agreed to try and sit through it.

Not that uncomfortable, but it was quite embarrassing... I was walking pass a group of people with one person I particularly know. He waved my hand to say hey and I waved back. But wave wasn’t for me, it was for the person behind me.
