Recent trailers for the upcoming remake have caught my attention. Wondering if anyone has seen the original or read the books? Have heard the original movie is quite odd. I dont intent to read the books before watching the new movie. 

Is there anything in particular I should expect?

The original movie is actually quite epic and very well done. I haven't read the book though. I'm afraid that this remake coming out is going to be a WOKE version of DUNE with some other bs mixed in. Go watch the original if you haven't done so yet, it's well worth it.
