It's still super early and needs a lot of work. Theory and math behind it is really cool and interesting but people over hype it so much since they have a financial interest to do so. Also they hype the worst and scammest shit because that's where they stand to make the most gains but they don't think of the risks and lose everything. All I so is check back from time to time on the tech. Just don't fall for all the hype shit instead look at the math and papers written about the true tech. And if the technical part is too hard to understand just think would this service actually help anyone or does it just help the people who got in early make more money and then you can easily see which projects are good and which ones are just hype.
