NHL's aborted season...
#1
So at work I apparently am the only one who disliked the way that they ran this last season in their version of the bubble.  I mean, don't get me wrong, I like that I was still able to watch hockey, but it really feels like the Stanley Cup didn't count when the Lightning won, and that this year will always be asterisked more than any other year, despite controversies that occurred then.

I get why they did it.  I just don't like it.

Any other thoughts on this?

I didn't like it either (probably because my team didn't win). I'm happy they pulled it off safely, and that we got to watch some level of hockey for a few months, but pretending it was anywhere near the same as normal playoffs is just ridiculous. I don't know if there was any other way to doing it, but asterisk for sure for me.

I'm curious what players genuinely thought. A lot clearly missed their families...did they like having no fans? No travel? Did they just want to play hockey? (and get paid?) Definitely felt like a good portion wasn't giving 100% like they normally would have.
