The Naked Gun is a classic comedy to go a slightly different route than what others have been recommending. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is another older classic if you like British humor and if we go a little more recent (but still not current), Kung Fu Hustle is a masterpiece of Hong Kong cinema and comedy.
