Netflix vs Disney+
#1
I am currently with Netflix and I don't know much about Disney+. Any Disney+ subscriber that can tell me what's the reason for them to join and keep their Disney+ membership?

#2
Ditch both and just torrent whatever you want. Much simpler that way.

But to answer your question: D+ is only good if you want to watch the shit they made before 1950.

#3
I felt the same exact way regarding the Disney+ thing.

I used to use torrents actually but thanks to all the new laws they keep coming up with it's become disgusting! Even while using a VPN

#4
Correct answer is to leech off a friend's.

I dislike both of them and want them to fail. Disney especially because it is monopolizing all movies.

^ HBOMax is doing the same.

Quote:^ HBOMax is doing the same.

All the streaming services basically.

I want them to face a huge backlash and realize that people don't want mindless content that was strategized and scheduled a decade in advance but good, fresh stories.

This goes way beyond content and fresh stories.

The masters of HBO and Disney won't let them do that. They want controlled profits, and controlled attention. Both used to be able to make good stuff ages ago, but certain people "invested" in HBO, and suddenly, they became rather controlled. Controlled output allows them to put the masses into a trance of sorts, which is what they want. A population that works itself to death, and then comes home to media that puts them into a trance, and gets them ready for the next day of punitive grinding. HBO and Disney are effectively part of the propaganda arm of TPTB.

One of the things that leaked out from Hollywood was that Disneyland and Disneyworld ran in the red for years. To make ends meet, they did some deals with the mafia, and produced professional porn right alongside their legit movie studio. And he did this even before Disneyland was a thing. He just ramped up porn production to make ends meet. Puts a new spin on the Mouseketeers. Why do you think that Britney Spears is so fucked up?

Don't forget that there are not just the access tunnels under Disneyland and Disneyworld, but tunnels to ... other places. And then that condo that "collapsed" in Florida, which was at sea level, had access tunnels going out to the sea, and other places.

I better stop there, I'll go full /pol/ if I don't.

HBO Pro tip: find an older major hit, like from the 60s. When you see their suggestions, they'll usually be other major hits and great films from the 60s and 70s, the ones that had legitimately good stories. In lieu of fresh stuff, check out the older stuff, it's all worth it, because it was made before Hollywood was really controlled.

Do you have a source to the porn thing?

#10
Netflix has more variety. You subscribe to Disney+ if there's something in particular you want to see.

Netflix has more variety

#12
just pirate imo, no need to waste money on multiple streaming services

#13
Better than pirate borrow a friend's account, haha, and do a mass share.

#14
Not really answering the question, but I read somewhere that a big diff between the two is that Disney shows still ranked highly in online/media interest 6 months after being released vs Netflix shows, which drop dramatically a few months after they're released. Which I guess just means Disney is great at continually marketing their shit for the long term.

And I'd tend to agree, I mean when was the last time you heard anyone talk about Queen's Gambit?

#16
very much agreed

Netflix is like milk, you use it for everything, nothing special but useful Disney plus is just extra spice if you like marvel/classic disney
