Hi everyone,

Im a mid software engineer but I have a big hole in my knowledge base which is networking. I was just wondering what people think is a good base requirements for how networking protocols work. I know the basic/enough to get by when it comes to how to build rest API but dont necessarily know the working behinds the scenes of the communication itself.

Check Network+ or CCNA syllabus, those topics should give you a solid foundation.

ccna is great, but you'll waste time learning about cisco specific products
