Opinion on Open relationships
#1
I always wondered why people would want to do an Open Relationship. Like are you bored of your current gf or are you trying to have sex with someone else while she is okay with it?
And will/does it damage your current relationship with the one you already have?

In my opinion I'm against it because the reason of a relationship is to be with that person for your entire life and not have sex with other people instead of your loved one

Going to definately lead to some problems

I’m honestly not sure how people can be in open relationships but it seems some people are in them and doing fine. Personally I don’t like the idea of it for myself because I don’t really agree with having multiple partners while being in a “relationship”

That's something that's never seemed like a good idea to me. If your unhappy just move on. If not show some respect.

Quote:Against it but if both people are happy to fuck around yet still be 'chained' to one another for appearances or finances then whatever.

I love the idea of it, I don't subscribe to social noms am so Bohemian as long has we respect each other and love each other am ok

I couldn't see myself in an open relationship EVER tbh. It would just be too messy. Things are easier when it's one on one.

Open relationships can work if there is alot of communication.

The moment somebody starts sneaking around it always crumbles

To me a relationship is basically forming and growing a partnership. While an open relationship can be shaky by creating mistrust and insecurity, with a crap ton of communication I think it is possible.

I personally don't believe they exist. I think the very concept of having to specify a relationship as open leads to a lot more doors being...well...opened. A relationship to me is a commitment to someone else, and getting to the level of having sex with someone else implies a further commitment from your partner.

It would be really hard to pull off if you don't communicate much. The moment someone starts keeping secrets it all goes down hill. Jealous is a real killer.
