Would it be possible to send the payment to an email address rather than using the built in PayPal on this forum? 
The PayPal account I’m using doesn’t have my card details on it and I don’t want to add them as they’re on my main PayPal account.

I'm a bit confused by your question but I believe yes you can make a secondary paypal account if you are worried about data breaches. My reccomendation would be to buy a prepaid gift card and load that if you want to use it just for this site otherwise a VPN or something like stripe might put your mind at ease.
